Ski report

We've now had three full days of exploring Vail's slopes. The ski area here is huge, we've gone flat out everyday from first lift until last and we haven't even seen half of it yet!

My skiing is feeling better each day, well, at least later each day when the prior day's stiffness has worn off. Peter is firmly to blame for that fatigue - the man is 61 and yet manages to ski Riva Ridge (a 4 mile long slope of mostly black gradient) flat out from top to bottom without resting once! Ouch, my legs burn within a few hundred yards at those speeds.

Aha! So he's not infallible. Catching Peter in the act of recovering from a slight "reposteuring".

This run was seriously fun. Steep and only a yard wide with a forest of trees to crash into... I think I hit most of them...

Jen and Peter continue to spoil me rotten, we've just had an awesome meal at a steakhouse in town, and they even invited Caryn to join us. They are both just so generous.

Peter and Jen soothing aching legs in the jacuzzi.

I promise to get some action photos one of these days. I'm going to do a bit of snowboarding tomorrow and that's bound to produce some spectacular wipe-outs that will inevitably end up on film.
